Ian M. Grecco is an Associate with the firm and practices civil litigation with a concentration on medical malpractice defense and health care law
Prior to joining Matis Baum O’Connor, Mr. Grecco worked as a Lawyer Volunteer for the Honorable Nora Barry Fischer of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania while he awaited his bar results.
Mr. Grecco earned his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 2017. During law school, Mr. Grecco worked as a law clerk for a medium-sized civil defense litigation firm and completed internships with the Honorable David N. Wecht of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mr. Grecco participated in Duquesne’s Urban Development Practicum where he provided legal assistance to nonprofit organizations and indigent clients. Mr. Grecco served as a Staff Editor for Duquesne Law Review and was an Executive Editor for Duquesne’s Juris Magazine. Mr. Grecco received the CALI Excellence for Future Award – Health Care Organization and Finance, the Abraham and Anna Helman Memorial Award, and a Pro Bono Honors Service Certificate.
Mr. Grecco earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Intelligence Studies and a minor in Pre-Law from Mercyhurst University in 2014. During his time at Mercyhurst, Mr. Grecco was a member of the Wrestling team and was recognized as a PSAC Scholar Wrestler and an NWCA Division II All-Academic Wrestler. As a graduating senior, Mr. Grecco was awarded the Alumni Recognition Award and Mercyhurst’s Intelligence Studies Award for Academic Excellence.
