Justin C. Kovic practices civil litigation with a focus on the representation of physicians and health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation, health care law, and federal civil rights defense.
Prior to joining Matis Baum O’Connor, Mr. Kovic worked as a Senior Accounting Analyst at the Bank of New York Mellon where he helped compile financial reports for large investment clients and supervised junior analysts on daily accounting practices.
Mr. Kovic earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies from Washington and Jefferson College in 2014 and his Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in 2019. While in law school, Mr. Kovic was a corporate legal intern at The Hertz Corporation World Headquarters in Estero, Florida. There, Mr. Kovic was a part of the In-House Counsel Operations and Litigation team where he drafted and edited pilot contracts, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, and demand letters. Mr. Kovic also served as an Associate Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review.
